These experiences have equipped me with a proactive mindset and the confidence to lead effectively in the dental profession.
What do you think is the most vital quality in a leader?
The most vital quality in a leader is the ability to inspire and motivate others. A leader who can effectively communicate a clear vision and purpose, while also empowering and encouraging their team, fosters an environment of trust, collaboration, and innovation. This ability to inspire not only drives team members to achieve their best but also cultivates a shared sense of commitment and enthusiasm towards common goals.

What future leadership roles in organized dentistry interest you and why?
Future leadership roles in organized dentistry that interest me include positions in professional organizations like the American Dental Association (ADA) or the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). These roles appeal to me because they offer opportunities to influence broader aspects of dental policy, education, and practice on a national level. As someone aspiring to become an orthodontist, being part of the AAO would allow me to advocate for advancements in orthodontic care, support fellow orthodontists in their careers, and contribute to shaping the future direction of orthodontics. Additionally, these leadership roles provide a platform to collaborate with peers and experts, drive innovation, and address challenges facing the dental and orthodontic communities, aligning with my goal to make a lasting, positive impact in dentistry.
