In the third session of this webinar series, ASDA alum, Dr. Daniel Hammer, will share insights about his experiences in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS). Hear about how he made the decision to specialize and why he chose OMS, specifically. You’ll learn about residency and the day-to-day experiences you may have in practice to help determine if this is the path you want to pursue.

Daniel Hammer, DDS; Pacific ’11; 2010-11 District 11 Trustee
Dr. Hammer is a Navy board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with fellowship training in Oral, Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery. After completing his dental education at the University of the Pacific, he completed his residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and his fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. While at John Peter Smith, Dr. Hammer served as Co-Chair of the Head and Neck Cancer Committee and established the JPS Head and Neck Cancer Clinical Care Pathway with a mission to facilitate health equity for Head and Neck Cancer patients regardless of their socioeconomic status. He is currently faculty at the OMS residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
