Dr. Kristopher Mendoza is an ASDA alum who’s passionate about serving individuals experiencing barriers to dental care and, through his career in dental anesthesiology, he’s able to work with various patient populations. During this session, Dr. Mendoza will share how he decided to pursue a career dental anesthesiology and what the experience has entailed. He’ll also share insights about residency and life in practice that can help you determine if this may be the right path for you.

Kris Mendoza, DDS; Los Angeles '15; 2014-15 President
Dr. Kris Mendoza graduated from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he later completed his residency in dental anesthesiology. Dr. Mendoza served as the President of ASDA from 2014-2015, during which he developed an interest in access to dental services and helping those who would otherwise be unable to receive dental care. This led him to pursue a career in dental anesthesiology, working with multiple patient populations.
Upon graduation, he was drawn to Colorado for its active and outdoor lifestyle. When he’s not working, he enjoys running outdoor trails, climbing mountains, or competing in obstacle course races and ultra-marathons.
