In October, ASDA along with the ADA and ADEA formed a coalition to modernize the dental licensure process. Since then the three organizations have been planning for the coalition's national launch. Our coalition representatives, President Craig McKenzie and Immediate Past President Roopali Kulkarni will discuss how the coalition was formed, its goals and how it aligns with ASDA’s overall licensure reform strategy. They will also be fielding your live questions.
Craig McKenzie, ASDA President
- Craig is a second-year dual degree student at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing both a D.M.D. and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education. He first caught ASDA fever as a predental student at Virginia Tech were he attended the 2014 District 4 Meeting in Raleigh, NC. He has stayed involved ever since. Previously serving ASDA in several chapter, district, and national roles, Craig currently serves as ASDA President.
Roopali Kulkarni, Immediate Past President
- Roopali Kulkarni currently serves as the immediate past president of the American Student Dental Association. She has held various leadership positions on the chapter, district, and national level including wellness co-chair, district 3 cabinet councilor, and district 3 trustee, among others. As president, Roopali guided the 2018-2019 board of trustees and executive committee to expand national initiatives, tackle important legislative issues, and strengthen relationships within organized dentistry. Upon graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, Roopali will be completing a residency in oral medicine at her alma mater.
