Dr. Ramzi V. Abou-Arraj, MS, Associate Professor/Clinic Director, University of Alabama at Birmingham

  • Dr. Abou-Arraj is a 2003 graduate of the Saint Joseph University-School of Dentistry, Lebanon. He received his Periodontology Certificate and M.S. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He is Associate Professor, Clinic Director of the postgraduate clinic and Assistant Director of the Advanced Education Program in the Department of Periodontology at UAB. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the recipient of the 2012 American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Foundation Lazzara Fellowship in Advanced Implant Surgery, 2015 American Academy for Dental Research (AADR) William Clark Fellowship, 2017 AAP R. Earl Robinson Periodontal Regeneration Award, and 2018 UAB President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Abou-Arraj currently serves as chair of the AAP Education Committee. His clinical and research interests include periodontal regeneration, periodontal plastic surgery and dental implant site development.

Dr. Ehlie K. Bruno, DDS, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Chicago Dental Implants, Oral & Facial Surgery, AAOMS Resident Organization 2017-2018 Committee Liaison

  • Dr. Ehlie Bruno is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon practicing in the Chicagoland area. She is an alumna of Marquette University and the University at Buffalo. Following a two-year general practice residency, Dr. Bruno completed her surgical residency at Indiana University. She has held several national positions and recently received a professional achievement award in recognition of her outstanding leadership and contributions. Dr. Bruno continues to foster her interests in collaborative organizational development, professional development and personal wellness. She serves as a liaison for the executive committee of the Resident Association of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ROAAOMS).
