1. How do I apply for the National Board Dental Exam?
Contact the American Dental Association Department of Testing directly at 800-621-8099 ext. 2678. For more information, visit ada.org/2289.aspx. You can also visit ASDA’s Taking the NBDEs web page for information.

2. What is a DENTPIN and how do I obtain one?
The DENTPIN (DENTal Personal Identifier Number) is a unique personal identifier for applicants and students involved with the U.S. dental education system and standardized testing programs. The ADA issues the DENTPIN. You can register or retrieve your number online at ada.org/dentpin.aspx.

3. When are the National Dental Board Exams offered?

4. How do I find out my National Dental Board Exam scores?

5. Where can I find out more information on the National Dental Board Exam?
The Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE) is the agency responsible for the development and administration of the National Board Dental Examinations. The JCNDE can be reached at 800-232-1694. The ADA's website also has information on Part I and Part II.

6. What resources are available to help me study for the National Dental Board Exam?
The best way to study is to study the real exam. ASDA sells National Board Exam reprints for Part I and Part II. To purchase, visit the Online Store or call 1-800-621-8099. Members receive a discount by logging in using their user name and password.
