ASDA’s 38th Annual Session took place in Scottsdale, Arizona from August 27-31, 2008 and was one of the most highly attended Annual Sessions in ASDA's history. ASDA members and leaders from each of the 56 U.S. dental schools attended the meeting to network and discuss key issues of importance for dental students. The 2008-09 Executive Committee and Speaker of the House of Delegates were elected. The exhibit fair was held on Thursday, August 28 with 60 exhibiting organizations. Wayne Stephens, ASDA's 2007-08 President, was honored during the final evening's Caribbean-themed Dinner Dance.
ASDA's 39th Annual Session, March 25-29, 2009, in Louisville, Kentucky marks the beginning of the meetings calendar transition. ASDA members and leaders from each of the 57 U.S. dental schools will attend the meeting to discuss issues of importance to dental students. Much of the association's business is completed at Annual Session. Delegates propose, amend and vote on resolutions to set association policy. The House of Delegates will hold elections for President, 2 Vice Presidents, and Speaker of the House of Delegates. An exhibit fair is scheduled on Thursday, March 26 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm that connects attendees with dental companies and organizations.
