“The Disruptive Age: Thriving in an Era of Constant Change” with Luke Williams

The future is unpredictable. We are living in a fast-changing and uncertain time: a disruptive age. The scale of the challenges we face and the accelerating speed of innovation demands a new approach to leadership, a new way of opening minds to uncomfortable solutions. To thrive in this new era, we must rethink old habits and challenge the conventional wisdom and industry models that have defined our world.

In this opening general session, Luke will:

  • Teach your how to shift your mindset and understand disruptive thinking
  • Provide tools to help start this mindset shift right now

"Career Development and Innovative Leadership in the Social Media Age" with Jake Greene

Young professionals who grew up in the age of social media have unique challenges. After documenting your life online for the world to see, it can be hard to erase the past. You need to prepare now so you can put your best foot forward when you become a dentist. This presentation will use case studies from the professional world and within pop culture to help teach you how to:

  • Take control of your professional identity online and offline
  • Develop partnerships at work and in the community
  • Collaborate with people from different generations and management styles
  • Proactively harvest creativity for innovation as well as career development

About the speaker, Jake Greene:
Born and raised in Minnesota, Jake graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in International Communication and a Masters in Sociology. He developed a strong interest in professional culture while working for a Fortune 500 company in Chicago and a venture-backed startup out of Denver. Jake founded his consulting practice, Greene Group, in 2006. Through Greene Group, he works with organizations on communication, branding, change, and growth initiatives. Jake’s first book, "Whoa, My Boss Is Naked! A Career Book for People Who Would Never Be Caught Dead Reading a Career Book" was published in 2008.
